Static CompactorStatic Compactor - Waste Management and Recycling Products by ACM Waste Management

Peak performance for large waste quantities

Stationary (static) waste compactors provide an ideal economic solution for transportation of large quantities of waste/recyclables.

The ACM range contains some of the most powerful and reliable compactors in the world. From the small space saving ST-an model up to the huge transfer stations designed to handle city waste.

The high compaction force reduces volumes of materials leading to fewer collections, lower costs and reduced environmental emissions.

Features
  • Improved environmental compliance and security
  • Reduced labour and transport costs
  • Controls pests and improves housekeeping
  • Reduced fire risks saving on insurance premiums
  • Cuts inventory shrinkage and on-site vehicle movements
Benefits
  • Fully developed, tried and trusted technology. Sturdy construction for longevity
  • Dock, conveyor and ground fed applications High compaction force, considerably reducing volumes of materials
  • Can be combined with containers for all common lifting devices
  • Compactor and container can be fixed to each other by a simple to handle coupling device
  • Can be specified to suit many different applications
  • Accessories, such as shifting, tipping and vacuum fed devices can be fitted
  • Full design and build capabilities to meet the bespoke requirements of your business
Top Tips

The ACM range of compactors are robust and quality assured, however, some regular maintenance by the user can avoid unnecessary downtime and unnecessary call-out to ACM's service team. In this issue we look at the little things that go towards a healthy relationship between customer and compactor.

Not reporting any damage to the back doors can have disastrous results - bent locking systems on the back door can no longer cope with the 34 tonne pressure force and could result in the door bursting open, which is a potential health and safety risk and may lead to the door needing to be replaced. In fact any damage, however slight can be made much worse by continual running without repair, eventually making the repair very costly.

If the application of the machine changes or usage increases or decreases, then please let us know. It may mean that you should then have a smaller/larger machine to deal with the change of workload, or an additional piece of equipment - to take plastic or cardboard out of the main waste-stream and bale it separately, reducing your transport/disposal costs, and helping the environment.

  • Regular cleaning of inspection hatch.
Prevents degrading waste causing unpleasant odours and also help to prevent premature failure of the hydraulic hoses, cylinders and seals. This is the users responsibility and information on how to do this and how often can be found in the manual supplied with the machine.
  • Early reporting of minor faults and damage.
If the compactor has been damaged at all by being knocked or receiving an impact from a vehicle, please inform ACM as soon as possible. We can then check to see if the damage requires repair. An e-mailed photograph of the damage can also help and ensure that we can identify the cause of the fault, to prevent further costly damage.

Generally, we would like feedback on all engineers' site visits. Of course we want to know when you are happy with the visit, but even more importantly we want to know if you are ever unhappy.
